Why Stilwater

One practice, one file, no repeating yourself.

Most people arrive here having already told their story three times — to a GP, to a physio across town, and then to whoever the medical aid would cover. We opened Stilwater so that the assessment, the treatment and the exercise that follows it happen in the same building, on the same notes.

It means your physiotherapist knows what your dietitian changed last month, and your biokineticist starts from the assessment you have already had rather than repeating it.

  • You do not need a doctor's referral. Dietetics, physiotherapy and biokinetics are all first-contact professions in South Africa — you can book directly with us.
  • We tell you the cost before you commit. Every fee is published on this site, and reception checks your available benefits before your first appointment.
  • Appointments run to time. Sessions are booked for the length of the treatment you are actually having, so the person before you is not rushed and neither are you.

Medical aid

We claim from your scheme, so you don't have to.

Stilwater Health is a cash practice that submits directly to most open schemes. Where a scheme pays us straight, you settle only the shortfall on the day.

Scheme names are listed to show which administrators we submit to. Cover depends on your specific plan and your available day-to-day or savings benefits, not on the scheme alone — so reception confirms your benefits before your first appointment. See how billing works and what everything costs →

How it works

From enquiry to first appointment, in four steps.

  1. Tell us what's going on

Use the form, WhatsApp or the phone. A sentence about the problem is enough — you don't need a diagnosis to book.

  2. We check your benefits

Reception confirms what your scheme covers for that discipline and tells you the expected shortfall before you arrive.

  3. Assessment, not a sales pitch

Your first session is a proper assessment. You leave knowing what is wrong, what we would do about it, and how many sessions it is likely to take.

  4. A plan you take home

Written, with the exercises or the eating plan on it — and a review date, so progress is measured rather than assumed.

Who you'll see

Every practitioner here is registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa and carries their own professional indemnity cover.

For employers

Corporate wellness that goes past the poster.

We run on-site wellness days and structured programmes for businesses across the Winelands technology and industrial parks — screening, one-to-one dietetic consultations, ergonomic assessments at the desk, and an exercise programme people will actually keep doing.

Programmes are quoted per head with a written report back to the employer covering aggregate, de-identified findings only. Individual results stay between the employee and the practitioner.

Not sure which of the three you need?

Most people aren't — that is what the first call is for. Tell us what is bothering you and reception will book you with the right practitioner rather than the first available one.
