Alarms · CCTV · Electric Fencing · Armed Response
Somebody is awake, watching your house, right now.
Waghuis fits the alarm, watches it from our own control room in Paarl, and sends our own response vehicle when it goes off. One company from the keypad to the driveway — nothing handed to a third party.
- Control room staffed right now
- Battery backup through load-shedding
- No call-out fee on your own alarm
Registered & accountable
Ask any security company for these four things.
Anyone can sell you a siren. In South Africa the paperwork is what separates a security business from a man with a bakkie — and it is all publicly checkable.

Why Waghuis
Most alarms are monitored by somebody in another province.
A lot of companies will happily install your system and then sell the monitoring contract on. When the alarm goes, the signal lands with a call centre that has never driven your street, and the "armed response" is whichever contractor is free.
We kept all of it in-house. The person who takes your signal at two in the morning sits in Paarl, knows the difference between the Wellington road and the Franschhoek pass, and is talking to a vehicle we own.
- Our control room, not a bureau. Staffed every hour of every day, with a second operator on shift through the night.
- Our vehicles, our officers. PSIRA-registered, radio-linked and patrolling the same suburbs they respond in.
- Your alarm tests itself. Every panel reports in daily. If yours goes quiet we phone you — you don't find out during a break-in.
Monitoring & armed response
Priced monthly. Cancel on a month's notice.
The installation is a once-off. This is the part that keeps working afterwards — and we publish it, because a security company that won't tell you the monthly figure until a salesman is in your lounge is telling you something.

On the ground
What R549 a month actually buys.
Equipment on walls, operators at screens, vehicles on the road. The unglamorous parts of a security contract, which are the parts that matter at 3am.

What clients say
The nights nothing happened.
A few recent words from households and businesses across the Winelands.
“The beam on the back wall went at 01:40. Waghuis phoned me before I'd even sat up, and the vehicle was at the gate in under four minutes. Turned out to be a porcupine — but they checked the whole property anyway.”
“We're on a smallholding outside Wellington, so load-shedding used to mean the alarm was decoration for two hours. They repowered the whole system with proper batteries and it hasn't dropped a signal since.”
“Eleven cameras across two buildings and I can pull any of them up on my phone from a meeting in town. What sold me was that they walked the site first and told me I needed nine, not fifteen.”
Start with the walk-around. It's free.
A consultant walks your property with you, points out where someone would actually come in, and quotes on that. No obligation, and no pressure to sign the monitoring contract on the day.
